Getting Started: Treatment and Payment Information

A message from Jody Heyman, OTR/L, CHT - Owner Of Hands On Rehabilitation

What to expect from an out-of-network Provider

Traditional therapy clinics often see multiple patients at a time, and are limited to a window of 15-30 minutes to spend one on one with their patients; the remainder of your time would be spent with a therapy aide or technician. Here at Hands On Rehabilitation you will be seen 1:1 with Jody Heyman, our treating therapist, for 1 hour for highly personalized treatment.

We offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to understand and talk about your pain or medical history, and discuss what we can do to help you reach your goals.

During your initial visit, a full body evaluation and assessment will be administered to get to the root cause of your problem. Unlike many in-network providers, we are able to perform hands on treatment on your first visit to provide relief and get you on track to feeling better more quickly.

Other treatments we offer are dry needling, cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and hands on techniques.

Do you accept any insurance?

Hands On rehabilitation is a private pay therapy service. We are an out of network provider for all commercial insurance plans. We are currently participating in-network with Medicare and Workers Compensation.

The decision to be an out of network provider is aimed towards the ability to better meet the individual needs of our patients. Doing so will allow us to avoid restrictions placed on occupational therapy services by insurance payors. Oftentimes, seeing an out-of-network provider will cost you less than what you will pay in-network due to high deductibles, facility fees, multiple co-pays per week, etc.

**Upon request, we can provide documentation necessary to submit directly to your insurer to be applied to out of network benefits, dependent on your personal plan.We strongly recommend reaching out to your insurance plan to obtain out of network coverage information.

Payment is due at the time of service, we accept credit card, cash and check.
